Not everyone can boast of a spacious apartment with a good layout. However, there are many ways to make any home beautiful and comfortable, minimizing its disadvantages. And this does not always require large financial expenditures or serious repairs. You can solve the problem of lack of free space with the help of such a practical and not too expensive option, like a folding interior door-book.
The design of the interior door-book
Doors-books represent the folding design consisting of one or two shutters, each of which, in turn, is divided into sections. When closing, these sections move on rollers along the upper guide, additionally equipped with a latch and a stopper (for fixing the extreme positions).
There are two ways of fixing the door-book to the door frame. In the first case, the canvas is attached to it using ordinary hinges. The advantage of this method is that there is no gap between the door and the bar of the door frame. The fittings for the door-books are not cheap, which significantly complicates the process of self-manufacturing of the structure.
Installation of the door-book does not require specific skills, and the relative simplicity of the door-book mechanism allows you to install it yourself, without the help of professionals.
Certain difficulties can arise only with the choice of the mechanism and selection of accessories. The mechanism of a folding door-book should not only be of high quality, but also correspond to the weight of the canvases. This also applies to locking and mounting hardware.
